The European Investment Fund (EIF) is seeking to recruit for its Risk Management Department – Transaction and Mandate Risk Division at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a Risk Analyst / Manager*. This is a full-time position (travel required) at grade 4/5 for which the EIF offers a permanent contract.

Purpose:
Part of the EIB Group, the mission of the European Investment Fund (EIF) is to improve access to finance for SMEs and small mid-caps in Europe. We do this by supporting emerging and established fund managers with equity investments and by designing debt financing instruments that share the risk taken by financial institutions when they lend to or invest in small businesses. We bring this support closer to entrepreneurs through our extensive network of partners and financial intermediaries in all EU Member States and associated countries.
The Equity Risk Analyst/Manager will contribute to the equity risk management activity of the Department and will be required to assess the risk of individual transactions brought forward by EIF’s business lines, opine on any post signature events, attend on-site due diligences and contribute to various projects within the entire EIB Group
Operating network:
You will work within the Equity Risk Unit and will report to the relevant Head of Unit, who in turn reports to the Head of Transaction and Mandate Risk Division. Working in close cooperation with the other Unit/Division members, you will have extensive contacts with colleagues in Risk Management, Front Office, Legal and other departments of the EIB Group.
