Job Purpose:
The position will be based in Beirut Country Office. The incumbent will report directly to the Communications Officer and under the overall supervision of the Head of Partnerships and Communications in Beirut Country Office.
The incumbent will perform specialized communications activities and contribute to the development of communications products/services and campaigns that maintain and enhance the visibility and reputation of WFP and supports fundraising activities.
The Senior Communications Associate will also be responsible for enhancing and managing the organization’s online presence, developing and implementing a comprehensive digital strategy, and producing engaging content that showcases WFP’s activities and donor contributions.
The duties include but not limited to overseeing content production and editorial processes for public communication products, including human interest stories, talking points, and briefs. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with various units to ensure consistent messaging and quality control across all digital platforms, developing digital campaigns, monitoring media, and supporting events and media missions.

STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Completion of secondary school education. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication Arts, International Relations, Public Relations, or another relevant field is a plus.
Experience: At least 7 years of experience in the field of communications, marketing or other related fields.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic languages.
