Responsibilities: 

The primary purpose of this position is to contribute to the organization’s significant growth in corporate revenue by developing new corporate partnerships and overseeing the stewardship of current corporate partners, both locally and internationally. This is for the purpose of creating and optimizing shared value for children with longer term partnerships, for initiatives mainly funded by these corporations.

The Manager for Corporate Partnerships will deliver on revenue goals through engagement with key stakeholders. These goals will be set depending on evidence-based and market projections, and depending on the funding market, will increase year on year.

The Manager for Corporate Partnerships will provide leadership in developing a Corporate Partnership Strategy and innovative business development approaches, taking into account the operating/market context. These start with, but are not limited to, the following: workplace giving, employee engagement, humanitarian response, and online digital conferences and campaigns.

Strong cross-functional teamwork is required across multiple sections of the organization including programs, web, communications and branding, among others

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in progressively responsible NGO positions, with significant networking and fund development experience
  • Extensive experience (5-7 years) in corporate fundraising and communications highly desirable
  • Proven track record in account and/or campaign management in competitive environments
  • Corporate social responsibility and public/private partnership experience desirable
  • Up to 25% travel may be required
  • Passion and commitment to Save the Children’s mission and values
  • Proven track record in development and account management
  • Excellent management skills
  • Fluency in English is essential, and a second language is preferred
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to negotiate challenging situations to achieve goals & deadlines
  • Knowledge of current theories and practices in fundraising, marketing and sponsorship; planning and strategy-project management; and communications
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environment
