Responsibilities:

 

• Shall support the development the M&E framework to monitor and evaluate specific program interventions which will include on sight field monitoring, collection of data
• Support key evidence generation efforts such as the Situation analysis for children with disabilities and the Out of School Study in Guyana
• Support to secondary data analyses across program and M&E support to partners
• Shall prepare key data to visualize the needs of children and the main areas of interventions needed to ensure that their rights are fulfilled including in migrant communities
• Shall also support other initiatives led by PM&E related to monitoring, evaluation, learning and knowledge sharing
In addition to above, the intern shall also support UNICEF work related to communications including creating Human Interest Stories

Requirements:

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or have graduated within the past two years in Law, Public Policy, Political or Social Science
• Good command of application of software such as, Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Strong research and analytical skills and ability to synthesize concepts and material into clear and concise thoughts
• Strong writing skills and ability to present complex information in a concise and understandable manner
• Knowledge SPSS, Stata, R or any other data analysis software is an advantage
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Language Proficiency – Good working proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Selected Interns must be at least 18 years old and should submit: – Verification from the college or university that the intern is currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree program or is a recent graduate (2 years after degree completion is considered as recent). It should also state the expected graduation date. – One letter of signed recommendation on letterhead or from professional email address. – The intern should use his/her personal computer during the length of the internship.
