Junior Professional Associates – Program Description

The Junior Professionals Associate Program (JPA) offers an exceptional opportunity for recent graduates to embark on a professional journey, providing a three-year contract with valuable work experience within a diverse and dynamic environment and the potential of field work experience. The JPA program at the World Bank is a highly competitive initiative. Global Corporate Solutions and Corporate Real Estate

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and World Bank Group Chief Administration Officer (MDCAO), Global Corporate Solutions (GCS) brings together the functions of Corporate Security, Corporate Real Estate, and Corporate Services (such as food services, printing, travel, conferences, and translation and interpretation).

GCS’s Corporate Real Estate (GCSCR) division plays a crucial role in supporting IBRD, IDA, MIGA, and ICSID by developing and operating their real estate demands worldwide. GCSCR’s primary purpose is to create safe, cost effective, sustainable, and functional real estate solutions, enabling business units to perform their work program in line with the WBG’s mission to create a world free of poverty on a livable planet.

To achieve its purpose, GCSCR led by the Senior Manager, is structured into three divisions: (i) HQ Real Estate Development and Management (GCSHQ), which covers facilities based in Washington, DC, (ii) International Real Estate (GCSIR), responsible for facilities located overseas, and (iii) Corporate Real Estate Strategy & Planning (GCSSP), providing cross-cutting strategic planning and analysis and business support.

GCSCR is comprised of approximately 100 staff, leverages over 500 contractors, and manages an annual facilities capital investment plan of about $165 million globally. GCSCR works closely with the Regions on the Bank’s more than 175 country offices and manages several of the Bank’s country offices.

Job Description

The real estate team is expanding its capabilities to leverage advanced technologies and analytical tools in order to enhance decision-making processes and client service. To achieve this, we are seeking a qualified individual with expertise in AI, data management and visualization, and finance to join our team.

The position is based in Washington DC and will report to the GCS Senior Manager.

• Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Utilize AI tools and techniques for data analysis and predictive modeling within the real estate sector.

• Develop and implement compelling data visualization strategies that effectively communicate complex insights to stakeholders.

• Design and implement graphics to enhance data visualizations and improve understanding.

• Present complex data in a clear and accessible format for strategic decision-making.

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualization tools to present findings and trends.

• Support with data metrics to develop comprehensive reports tailored for senior management. Present complex data in a clear and accessible format for strategic decision-making.

• Establish AI-driven metrics and methodologies to measure client and vendor needs, satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

• Provide financial analysis and insights that support strategic decision-making and optimize investment opportunities.

• Utilize AI tools, including Copilot, to aggregate data from various sources such as Word documents and PowerPoint presentations. Identify key trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data.

• Automate the extraction and consolidation of data to streamline the updating of prior reports.

• Employ machine learning algorithms to identify and integrate relevant data points across multiple formats.

• Simplify the process of updating reports with real-time data from diverse sources using AI technologies.

• Improve efficiency in data management by automating repetitive tasks and data collection through AI.

• Design and deliver training sessions to upskill staff in AI applications and methodologies.

Selection Criteria

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in AI, data visualization, and finance within the real estate industry or related sectors.

• Proficiency in AI and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, or similar).

• Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and techniques.

• Strong financial modeling skills and knowledge of financial analysis principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights clearly and concisely.
