We are a community of diverse, versatile, and hard-working people who come together on a journey to improve lives in Latin America and the Caribbean. Our people find purpose and do what they love in an inclusive, collaborative, agile, and exciting environment.

Office of the Secretary, Translation and Documentation Section

The Translation and Documentation Section in the Office of the Secretary is the official translation service for all governing bodies of the IDB Group, and its Senior Management. The Office of the Secretary is seeking seasoned translators in all IDB Group official languages.

Office of the IDB Group Administrative Tribunal

The IDB Group enjoys immunity of jurisdiction from the courts of its member countries. For this reason, the IDB Group Administrative Tribunal was established to settle the disputes which arise out of the employment relationship of the Bank or IDB Invest with their staff members. The Office of the IDB Group Administrative Tribunal is looking for French and Portuguese translators experienced with legal texts.

This call for interest aims at collecting the best curricula of language professionals interested in collaborating remotely with the above-mentioned Offices. A translation test in the Group’s official languages will be administered to all selected candidates into their native language only. Based on test results, language combination, and areas of expertise, successful candidates will be placed on one or two possible and independent translator rosters.

What you’ll do:

Translate assigned documents expeditiously, in a manner equal to or exceeding the standards of professional skill and care common in the profession, with proper use of vocabulary, syntax, expression, and grammar.

Deliverables and Payments Timeline:
