Major Responsibilities
- Leads the preparation of ongoing situation reports, periodic updates and analyses, by compiling and analyzing data, and related information on overall IDP, returnees and humanitarian crisis in the target area, with a specific focus on child protection/GBV, and prepare written inputs accordingly to inform effective program planning, development and management.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to intervention woredas to ensure the progress of project implementation on a good track and develop mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the impact of the project implementation in different location, and ensure learning is integrated into future program design.
- Facilitate documentation of best practices and challenges to generate materials for strategic direction of further implementations of CPGBV projects.
- Establish effective working relationships with the government counterparts, implementing partners, private and public sectors, consultants, and other development organizations and target populations in the program operation. and Work with the implementation partners to identify and address potential capacity building and/or support needs. Participate at Zonal and Woreda Level monthly CP/GBV cluster meeting as required .

- Ensure effective information sharing and learning across the agencies through preparing monthly and quarterly report updates on project activities for internal and Donor consumption, –
- Regularly track budget versus actual execution of budget including monthly FFR review together with field finance, and take timely corrective action on irregularities.
- Provide technical support including capacity building trainings on GBV prevention and response and MHPSS for CPGBV officer, social workers , MHPSS specialists and key government stake holders
- Ensure Program implementation is in line with international Child protection and GBV minimum standard .
Required Professional Experience
- A minimum of five years experience in child protection, Gender-based violence and related areas, program/project development and management in emergency context is required.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing child protection and GBV trainings to a variety of stakeholders.
- Direct case management and experience working with children, women and adolescents is an asset. Knowledge and experience on Gender Based Violence programming including prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) an asset.
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
- First degree in social work, sociology, psychology, child protection, public health and relevant fields of social sciences and five years of work experience or Masters degree in these fields and one year relevant work experience
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
- Knowledge and skills of and ability to implement integrated CP responses, including Gender Based Violence. Awareness of or interest in community based protection mechanisms.
- Extensive training in the fields of CP/GBV, psycho-social wellbeing, case management and application of international technical guidelines and standards in Child Protection and GBV.
