Provides operational guidance to the BHA protection teams (project officers and community facilitators) including the Sub-grantee including regular and direct technical support/supervision in the field, guiding them throughout the different activities and phases of the project to ensure quality and timely implementation according to donor and WV standards.

Financial management and Reporting
Proper financial expenditure , tracking and reporting for all protection activities (including that of the Sub-grantee) and ensuring it aligns to Donor and WV standards
Ensures monthly statistical reports on protection activities , activity narrative and financial reports are completed and submitted to Chief of Party in a timely manner.

This includes reports from Protection sub-grantee .

Sub-grantee monitoring and management
Provides technical and operational support to the protection sub-grantee and ensure proper monitoring , gap identification , drawing up capacity planning and ensuring the delivery of capacity building to close the gaps identified in the partner.

Monitor protection risks and needs in the project locations on a regular basis. Support needs assessment, and gap analyses and contribute to proposals and other program development initiatives. In collaboration with MEAL, lead the development of protection assessments.

Collaboration , Networking and Engagement
Develops and maintain close relationships with relevant stakeholders including UN Agencies , Clusters and other NGOs , establishing World Vision as a key actor of Protection interventions in Eastern DRC as well as representing World Vision in related government, UN cluster and sub-cluster meetings ensuring proper coordination, participation in common initiatives and dissemination of information.

Required Professional Experience:

-Must have experience in implementing child protection and GBV interventions in an emergency settings
-Understanding of the IASC guidelines.
-Good knowldege of GBV SPHERE standards

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

University degree in Human rights law, Social Work or a related field.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:

-Strong empirical knowledge of the humanitarian sector
-A comprehensive knowledge of: International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, Refugee Law, the relevant positions of the UN, ICRC and major NGOs on protection of civilians in armed conflict, in particular of IDPs, women, and children, the codes of conduct, the Humanitarian Charter, The Sphere Project, etc

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

Prepared to travel 20% of the time
