UNDP works in about 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion. We help countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and build resilience in order to sustain development results.
We seek Online Volunteers with communication expertise to support our efforts in achieving these goals. The Online Volunteers will be responsible for developing and implementing communications material to promote the work and impact of the UNDP Afghanistan Global Fund grants.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in communications, preferably in the development or health sector.
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of gender, human rights, and development issues is an asset.
• Familiarity with the UN system and Global Fund grants is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
This includes creating content and providing communications related tasks to ensure that results are properly captured.
Specifically, the Online Volunteer will be assigned to support in creating and developing high-quality content, including support in writing stories/press releases/newsletters / and articles for website updates for HIV, TB, malaria, and health systems.
