Purpose of the position:
CLEOs will be responsible for all contextual interventions targeting Community and Faith Leaders, Adolescent Boys and Young Men (ABYM) and AGYW through PrEP ambassadors.
This position reports directly to the DREAMS Technical Lead. They will maintain partnerships with key project stakeholders in the creation of a safe and supportive environment that protects AGYW from vulnerabilities that expose them to the risks of acquiring HIV.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for facilitating community leadership engagement interventions in the DREAMS Tinkhundla under the project. This includes raising awareness on factors influencing AGYW vulnerabilities, engaging AGYW male partners and sensitizing traditional leaders on their role in curbing harmful gender norms

Provide supportive supervision to Assistant Community Leadership Engagement Officer. Support in the development of performance agreements and continuously monitor progress towards goal achievements.
3. Provide direct supportive supervision to PrEP ambassadors for purposes of educating and creating demand for the different PrEP options available to AGYW and ABYM.
4. Support the implementation of HIV prevention sessions targeting ABYM by Life Mentors. Work collaboratively with OVC and DREAMS Coordinators.
5. Review mapping data of local CBOs through chiefdoms to determine points of collaboration for the IP.

Review and connect to existing community leadership support structures and activities being implemented by NERCHA and other implementers to capitalize on synergies and reduce potential duplication at the chiefdom level.
7. Maintain stakeholder relationships in collaboration with the HIV Prevention Program Officers, OVC Program Officers, Livelihoods POs, Case Workers and to ensure project ownership.
8. Facilitate comprehensive quality data flow, reflection and adaptation of approaches in the field
9. Facilitate beneficiary engagement and support overall project implementation.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Prior Work Experience: A minimum of three years of progressive and responsible experience in implementing community leadership engagement interventions Experience in report writing (management and donor reports) Skills and Abilities: Communication, leadership, people management, negotiation and risk management skills Ability to problem solve and be solution driven Must be adept in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Ability to analyze, organize, and interpret data and present findings in both oral and written form.
