JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assessment on site needs and resources, existing well and latrine types, data on community intended to be benefitted.
Beneficiary selection.
Identify vulnerable families eligible for assistance for well construction according to established selection criteria.

Site selection. Asses, analyzse and finalize the well digging locations/villages in consultation with community.
Arrange community meetings and explain them roles and responsibilities of water committees
Train water committee on maintenance of water facilities and provide on job training
Check the quality of well digging done by community (community contribution) and contractor at different stages.
Responsible to install hand pumps for all drilled/dug wells in consultation with logistic department
Coordinate with logistic department for delivering hand pumps to the sites
Contribute in designing latrine, water supply and sanitation related activities and define Bill of Quantities (BOQ) of infrastructures and prepare all technical drawings actively in preparing and conducting assessment survey to control progress of program and efficiency of activities
Ensure the inclusion of cash-based interventions and marked based programmes in country and area-based strategies and their implementation across and within NRC’s core competencies
Support Emergency Manager & area CC Coordinators to prioritize the emergency activities in different regions such as field assessments, distribution, responses, PDM, risk monitoring
Skills & Experience

Degree in Water Engineering, electric engineering, Civil Engineering, Public health, Community development, Geology or any related discipline.
At least two to three years in design and implementation of Water and Sanitation schemes projects
Knowledge of AutoCAD, WaterCAD or any civil works design software is highly desirable
Experience from working with WASH and Shelter projects in a humanitarian/recovery context
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
