JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities
 1. Set all Key Performance Indicators for the Supply Chain Warehouses in the 9 States in South Sudan on assets to be tagged including storage containers and monitor the performance of these targets. Contribute to operational reviews on a regular basis to discuss the current inventory position and reporting on it to the supervisor. 2. Develop continuous improvement plans and longer-term strategic requirements, which include collaborating with technical units and other stakeholders to review stock handling processes and design and implement new or adapt existing processes to improve accuracy and compliance results. 3. Project manage and be the primary Mission contact for RFID Phase II Project. 4. Monitor and oversee the RFID Container Tracking system in RAMS and address any issues or poor performance with the developers (FTS and Motorola) and the Warehouse Supervisors in the 9 Mission bases. 5. Report on the performance of RFID vehicles gates and advise FTS where maintenance is required, follow up with FTS and ENG to complete the installation of RFID warehouse gates on all K-Spans, follow up with FTS for installation of RFID Pedestrian gates. 6. Provide the Chief Supply Chain Management Service and Administrative Officer with project risk assessments and summary level project monthly status reports. 7. Strategize with project team to forecast problems, assess potential risks and solutions, and plan alternatives.
8. Monitor the budget of the project, if any, and keep within budget. 9. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, forecasts, and status reports for optimum use of resources allocated. 10. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. 11. Partner with Field Technology Section (FTS) and the Service Vendor with a focus on software product development and integration. 12. Help infuse process discipline, systems thinking, and critical tools deep into the organization thereby enhancing UNMISS capacity for effective & efficient project management. 13. Project Managers will provide overarching facilitation for all aspects of the Projects, working with Engineering Section, FTS, and the Centralized Warehouses to realize returns on investment of these projects. 14. Coordinate with all stakeholders and oversee the tagging exercise for items in unit stock in all the UNMISS Warehouses and for items in use in all states of South Sudan. 15. Perform other duties and related tasks as assigned by the supervisor as may be required by daily operations.
Qualifications/special skills
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in supply chain management, business administration/ management, administration, or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Certification in project management is desirable. A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience at least three of the following areas: logistics, project management, material management, property and asset management, administration, information technology, contract management and information management is required. Experience in using SAP or similar ERP software is desirable. Experience in using applied analytics, business intelligence, information management to advance decisions, strategies and execution is desirable At least two-year experience and exposure in an international peacekeeping or field mission is required
