Unit Context:

The ITS Corporate Digital Engagement (ITSCD) is a unit within the ITS Corporate Solutions department (ITSCO) that delivers cutting-edge information and technology applications to enhance intranet and communications for staff, external audiences, donors, member countries, and other key stakeholders. Focusing on modernizing the Bank’s digital engagement, ITSCD collaborates with clients to design solutions that enhance client responsiveness, boost organizational effectiveness, and manage risks. Additionally, the unit provides technology solutions that streamline end-to-end budgeting processes and support cost allocation management.

Position Overview:

The ITS Corporate Digital Engagement (ITSCD) unit is looking for an Information Officer who will serve as the SAFe Scrum Master/Team Coach for the Intranet and Mobile Apps Solutions team. They serve as a facilitator for the Agile Team, guiding them through iteration events and processes to support teams and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in delivering value. This role is crucial in nurturing the maturity of Agile Teams by promoting Agile values, principles, and best practices. The Scrum Master is responsible for removing impediments, fostering a high-performance team environment, and driving continuous improvement and flow.

Responsibilities:

•Team Coaching: Guide teams in self-organization and self-management to improve effectiveness within the SAFe framework.

•Agile Release Trains (ARTs): Coordinate and participate in ART events to enhance SAFe implementation across the organization.

•Scrum Mastery: Demonstrate a strong passion for Agile frameworks and improve Scrum maturity by applying Scrum techniques and artifacts, including user story refinement and backlog management.

•Conflict Resolution: Aid in resolving interpersonal conflicts, promoting effective problem-solving and decision-making within the team.

•Servant Leadership: Focus on the needs of team members and those they serve, using persuasion to align with organizational values and business objectives.

•Mentoring: Support personal development and encourage a continuous learning mindset, guiding teams to independently solve problems.

•Transparency: Ensure transparency by inspecting artifacts, identifying discrepancies, and detecting anti-patterns.

•Agile Education: Educate teams on methods beyond Scrum, such as SAFe, Kanban, and Built-in Quality.

•PI Planning Preparation: Prepare teams for PI Planning by briefing them on upcoming features and identifying local stories, maintenance, defects, and tech debt.

•PI Plan Drafting: Facilitate the creation of draft PI plans, objectives, and identification of ART risks and issues.

•Objective Setting: Assist teams in creating and finalizing PI objectives with a mix of committed and uncommitted goals.

•Plan Review: Ensure PI objectives are SMART and facilitate collaboration between Business Owners and teams during business value assignments.

•Event Facilitation: Coordinate cadence-based events to sync efforts and hold retrospectives for continuous improvement.

 

Selection Criteria

•Master’s degree in computer science, business management, or relevant discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

•Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master/Agile Project manager or similar role in agile product development environments.

•SAFe 6.0 Scrum Master Certification 

•Experience with content management systems and implementing web-based applications.

•Extensive experience in facilitation, coaching, and mentoring teams in scaled agile 

•Extensive experience in working with diverse stakeholders and producing communication materials for decision making

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate well with all levels, technical and non-technical stakeholders.

•Ability to work directly with business users and management without supervision and to facilitate and navigate discussions with stakeholders to ensure clarity, prioritization, and consensus.

•Leadership skills and ability to work well with diverse team members, often in multiple locations.

•Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

•Excellent personal organization skills and ability to take things to closure without follow-ups

•Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
