The Opportunity
This position “Manager-Partnership, Start Fund Bangladesh” is mainly responsible for working closely with partners/ members of the Start Bangladesh, to ensure that the network members are meaningfully engaged with the platform, have direct, equitable access to decision-making and the different financing mechanisms (e.g., Start Fund and Start Ready), and facilitate the participation of disaster affected populations in influencing the design and implementation of Start Network programs. S/he will support the local NGO members’ visibility in humanitarian and public spheres and their engagement with national coordination mechanisms. This role will also have a function with implementing projects with the Programme Coordinator overseeing fiduciary and audit compliances of awarded member agencies.

Start Fund Bangladesh (SFB) is a civil society managed rapid emergency response pooled funding mechanism. It releases funding within 72 hours of a crisis alert, and it is accessible to local, national, and international member NGOs operating in Bangladesh to respond early to under the radar emergencies. The Programme has evolved since its inception in 2017 and currently implementing other programs i.e., Disaster Risk Financing and Organizational System Strengthening.
Start Fund Bangladesh is a Start Network managed program, hosted by Save the Children Bangladesh. This incumbent is responsible for compliance and due diligence related issues of partnership management, and works closely with relevant teams (e.g., the Audit, Risks and Compliance team and Partnership and Institutional Relationship team) of the Host agency. This position works closely with relevant Start Network teams (i.e., the Membership Engagement Team and the Network Development Team) to ensure that Start Bangladesh members are well-informed and well-connected with the wider, global Start Network and peer-hubs.

Qualifications and Experience
• At least 05 years’ experience in partnership management in a relevant sector
• Have partner culture awareness, values the differences among partners and find ways to integrate those differences for a constructive change
• Comfortable to work with communities, NGOs, CBOs and local government actors
• Ability and thrust for interagency collaboration and partnerships and passion to foster a culture of trust and open dialogue among partners
• Relevant theoretical and applied knowledge on localisation and current practices around localisation at local and national level
• Highly organized with strong prioritization skills and multi-tasking ability
• Strong partnership management skills with sound understanding on interagency collaboration and partnerships
• Sound understanding on Grand Bargain, Charter for Change, Principles of Partnership commitments along with Core Humanitarian, SPHERE standards and IFRC Code of Conduct
• Strong presentation and writing skills, including project documentation and public communication
• Master’s degree, preferably in Development Studies/Disaster Management/Social Science.
