The Opportunity

The Procurement Specialist is part of Trócaire’s head office procurement team which falls under the Standards and Compliance Unit (SCU). The head office procurement team is responsible for managing Trócaire’s global procurement function (Ireland and overseas offices) and ensuring that best value for money is achieved with Trócaire’s resources and that procurement processes are compliant with best practice and international donor requirements.

The Procurement Specialist will be leading on the procurement of all centralized contracts and supporting and advising teams across the Trócaire’s Ireland teams on their own respective procurements. Reporting to the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager, the Procurement Specialist will be a key member of the procurement team supporting the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to deliver continued strategic solutions

Requirements

You will report to Supply Chain and Logistics Manager The job opportunity will be offered on a part time permanent contract and is based in Maynooth.

Salary €50,000 pro rata

We’d love if you have at least three year’s experience in a similar procurement specialist role with a clear passion for achieving compliance and value for money. You will be the main point of contact for procurements in Ireland and excellent communication skills and a solution orientated mindset are desirable.
