The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership is seeking to build a comprehensive repository of service providers who work on the 23 action-oriented global targets for urgent action from the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. To this end, we are looking for up to 35 Online Volunteers who will identify and validate measures of organizational capacity for specified providers. This opportunity will give you a chance to contribute to a global biodiversity effort, gain experience in online data collection and verification, and develop familiarity with AI-augmented data methodologies.
We are seeking online volunteers to assist us in identifying and validating measures of organizational capacity for specified service providers.
The volunteers will be responsible for the following tasks:
– gauging the collective expertise of the organization in key GBF target areas,
– estimating the number of different organizational financial supporters including partners, sponsors, and clients,
– transparency on commitments to sustainability (commitment statements, sustainability policy, third-party environmental certificates, quality certificates)
– extent of participation in a variety of conferences and events (Community network),
– transparency (e.g. positive presence in the news, awards, references and testimonials), and
– social/environmental responsibility (women-led, IPLC-led).
• Excellent online research skills and experience conducting independent research online to find relevant information
• Skills in evaluating and synthesizing information from various types of resources.
• Strong ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to organize and classify information.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English. Additional language skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with AI-augmented research methodologies (e.g. GPT for data analysis) is a benefit.
• Interest and knowledge in biodiversity is a plus.
