JOB DESCRIPTION

Specific responsibilities 

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the project’s data and information management needs.
  • Design and develop appropriate management information systems, including databases, data collection tools, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Ensure the MIS is aligned with NRC’s CSSP framework, national and international standards, and best practices in data management.
  • Oversee the implementation and testing of the MIS, including user training and technical support.
  • Establish and maintain data collection, storage, and processing procedures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of project data.
  • Regularly review and update the MIS to address changing project needs and new requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data collection tools, such as forms, surveys, and monitoring checklists, to capture relevant CSSP-related information.
  • Collect, collate, and analyze data from various sources, including field-level interventions, to generate meaningful insights.
  • Prepare and disseminate regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) on the project’s progress, challenges, and outcomes.
  • Support the project team and other stakeholders in interpreting and using data for decision-making and project adaptation.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to project staff and local partners on the use and maintenance of the MIS.
  • Collaborate with the CSSP Officer and other NRC departments to ensure the integration of data and information systems across the project.
  • Document and disseminate lessons learned, best practices, and innovative approaches in CSSP-related MIS to contribute to the broader knowledge base.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field A master’s degree is preferred At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and managing management information systems, preferably in the humanitarian or development sectors.

Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts and Training in Purchasing and Supplies preferred.

Strong understanding of data management principles, including data collection, storage, processing, and analysis

Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.  Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

What We Offer:

Contract period: 12 months  with possible extension

Salary/benefits: According to NRC’s salary scale and terms and conditions
