WBG Finance ITS Unit Context

WBG Finance (ITSFI) is responsible for providing high quality, streamlined information and technology solutions for the World Bank’s Financial services, which include Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Controls, Treasury, Loans, Accounting, and Concessional finance (managing donor contributions from inception to the point of final disbursement, including IDA, Financial Intermediary Funds and Trust Funds). ITSFI is additionally responsible for building its IT services using a shared platform that provides scale, leverage, reliability, and control while at the same time improving responsiveness to emerging business needs.  The above position will be under Treasury Information Technology (ITSRA), one of the divisions under ITSFI.  ITSRA handles the support of financial applications in the areas of Risk and Analytics that also includes Data Management and Reporting.

Job Opportunity

ITSRA is seeking an experienced, motivated, and ambitious MX.3 Tech Lead/Expert in Washington, DC with excellent technical and system architecture skills to contribute to the ongoing multi-tenant MX.3 platform implementation within the World Bank.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

•Act as Technical Lead/Solutions Architect for the integration of MX.3 into the World Bank’s application landscape of its Capital Markets LoB.  Specifically, this includes the integration of MX.3 with neighboring applications that perform trade capture, front and back office workflow, market data capture and dissemination, call monitoring, SWIFT messaging, collateral management, accounting, and reporting.

•Properly document technical analyses, designs, and specifications.

•Assist with the development and execution of test plans.

•Coordinate with vendors and oversee their deliverables.  (This includes reviewing proposed solutions and delivered code.)

•Coordinate with project team members (BA’s, PM’s, Tech Leads, Developers, etc.) to meet project milestones.

•Train existing technical staff on MX.3.

•Uphold established processes and controls for Application Development and Maintenance.

•Work with Enterprise Architects to ensure compliance with standards.

•Work with the Information Security Team to satisfy its requirements/recommendations and support related security testing.

•Work with infrastructure/Cloud Teams to oversee deployment, technical configuration, performance testing, etc.
