The Technology infrastructure (ITSIN) is anchored in the Chief Technology Office (ITSTO) department in ITS. The primary programs that the ITSIN unit is responsible for is providing a wide range of technical infrastructure services to meet the institution’s computing needs, from mid-range servers, large scale servers, and the respective system, network, and supporting software on those platforms. It provides engineering, integration, and system administration services for Server Administration, Server Security, Backup/Restore, Storage, Virtual infrastructure, Network and Data Center Management.

The candidate will join the ITSIN as part of the Server Security Team, which delivers security services across all World Bank servers. This team collaborates closely with UNIX, Windows, and Cloud teams to implement server protection and ensure compliance with World Bank Security Standards. The role also includes managing tools such as CyberArk, UKM, and Tripwire for file security management, as well as overseeing datacenter Micro segmentation.

The Security Administrator (ETC) is responsible for overseeing infrastructure and cloud security and compliance remediation, this role will provide operational support for the current and future infrastructure security in WBG. The position involves monitoring security compliance issues and working with respective teams to remediate them.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•Good understanding of cloud resources and their security requirements.

•Demonstrate working experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).

•Address and remediate compliance issues related to cloud resources.

•Prepare compliance reports.

•Develop and implement best practices for infrastructure and Cloud security.

•Identify and mitigate security risks related to infrastructure security.

•Perform a combination of security design, development, implementation, and testing of new products or enhancements to existing ones.

•Support the production environment by ensuring appropriate security policies and best practices are applied and enforced on-premises and in AWS and Azure.

•Implement new compliance profiles.

•Possess knowledge of micro-segmentation tools, such as Akamai Centra.

•Provide training and orientation for new team members as needed.

•Collaborate with other teams to ensure the protection of the company’s systems and data.

•Monitor and investigate security incidents related to infrastructure security.

 

Selection Criteria

 

•Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer science/engineering with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

•Have good understanding of Cloud resources and security requirements.

•Programming and scripting experience, preferably in PowerShell/Shell/Python/RQL.

•Knowledge on other security tools like CyberArk, Akamai and UKM.

•Hands-on experience with CSPM.

•Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

•Strong understanding of Infrastructure and Cloud security.

•Capable of maintaining and supporting compliance standards.

•Shows initiative and resourcefulness in complex environments.

•Adaptable and skilled at prioritizing conflicting demands under high-pressure and time-sensitive conditions.
