Working with incountry partners, IRRI develops advanced rice varieties that yield more grain and better withstand pests and disease as well as flooding, drought, and other harmful effects of climate change.
Perform wet and dry chemical analysis using spectrophotometry, spectrometry, and chromatograph. Collect, analyze and summarize data in a timely manner to support the objectives of the assigned projects. Supervise the daytoday activity in the laboratory ensuring that all laboratory supplies/chemicals are available; machine/laboratory apparatus are in good running condition and make decisions for adjustment to ensure that all analysis will be completed as planned. Conduct research experiments as needed by the project.
This position will be based at the IRRI Headquarters, Los Baños, Philippines and may only be filled by permanent citizens of the Philippines.
