Job Overview/ Summary:
IRC seeks a bilingual Social Service Coordinator to join the Children’s Legal Services team in SeaTac, Washington to provide referrals and support to unaccompanied minors released to sponsors in King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Spokane counties. The Social Service Coordinator will identify service needs and facilitate access to appropriate community services for assistance in education, housing, mental health, medical, benefits, as well as any other additional support related to their legal case. Additionally, the Social Service Coordinator will establish relationships with local and state social service partners. This position supports a team of attorneys and other legal program staff who provide direct legal services to assist children in immigration proceedings.
The Social Service Coordinator will report to the Managing Attorney, Children’s Legal Services.This position requires an individual who is patient, passionate about children, and prepared to work with vulnerable children of all ages and their sponsors. The Social Service Coordinator will have stellar interpersonal and traumainformed listening skills, be highly organized, have excellent attention to detail, and be able to work both in a collaborative team environment and independently on assignments.
