BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The Reporting Consultant for the Annual Country Report (ACwill provide surge support to the Regional Bureau Panama (RBACR team. This will include coordination with Country Offices (C, quality control and liaising with the ACR team at Headquarters (Hand technical experts in the Regional Bureau (Rto ensure that key annual performance information at the country level is reported on and published online for donors and internal use.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the ACR coordinator in RBP the consultant will:

  • Coordinate with Country Offices (Cand support in communicating all processes and associated documentation with CO ACR focal points; address specific requirements for different ACR sections; provide guidance and suggestions and technical support on questions on ACR drafting and data requirements, including editing and rewriting the reports received when needed.
  • Liaise with technical units and areas in RBP to provide guidance to Country Offices and ensure the quality of ACR; coordinate reviews with technical teams in RB and support RB/CO in addressing comments, including those from HQ.
  • Support in the management and update of SPRING (ACR online platfor.
  • Contribute to consolidating a summary of Lessons Learned for the 2024 ACR season.
  • Performs other duties as required.

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

  • Publication of ACR in line with the corporate deadline.
  • Layout of ACR in line with corporate standards.
  • Lessons learned submitted.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

Advanced university degree in political science, sociology, economics, development studies, international development or a related field is required. A firstlevel university degree in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience:

35 years of postgraduate, relevant professional experience. Previous WFP experience is an advantage.

Knowledge & Skills:

The incumbent should have the following skills and experience:

  • Familiarity with WFP’s normative framework for results reporting;
  • Good communication skills (oral/writteto provide clear constructive feedback to all stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver results through planning and organizing own activities effectively;
  • Ability to successfully manage and prioritise multiple requests in a deadlinedriven environment;
  • Strong coordination and collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders;
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines;
  • Computer skills

Languages:

English Proficiency / Level C. Knowledge of Spanish / Level B.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • Level: CST I
  • Type of contract: International Consultant
  • Duration: 4 months (from December 2024 to March 2025)
  • Duty station: Panama City, Panama

​ Successful candidates will be placed in a roster for two (2) years.
