What we are looking for

NRC is looking for a Protection Specialist to join the Iran mission. The role holder will be responsible for the technical development of the Protection thematic area, strategic direction, quality assurance, and the mentoring, training, and capacity building of staff on Protection technical capacity.

If you are an experienced leader with a track record of developing and integrating distinctive strategies; with strong coordination, networking, and stakeholder management skills; the ability to inspire and influence others; and successful experience building and leading collaborative, engaging, and effective teams, then this is the role for you! This position is only open to internal NRC employees.

What you will do

  • Protection strategy, technical guidance and macro logical frameworks development.
  • Funding proposals, budgets, and donor reports development and revision.
  • Trends, technical standards, and donor priorities identification.
  • Compliance, high technical quality, and synergies assurance with contractual agreements and in project implementation.
  • Technical direction and project implementation support.
  • Systematic training and build capacity of technical staff.

What you will bring

  • Senior management experience in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Market analysis, cashbased interventions, and marketbased programmes expertise.
  • Site management, urban displacement and out of camps, and community engagement track record.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Startup, scaleup projects, and emergency contexts exposure.
  • South Asia context and humanitarian community response experience and knowledge.
  • High risk, insecure, opaque, complex, and volatile context exposure.
  • English fluency, both written and verbal.
