JOB DESCRIPTION

WHH/JERU is implementing a threeyear multisectoral BMZ funded project with partners IRC and PIN in Sumy, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzha regions. This role will be required to manage the overall coordination of the consortium while ensuring that WHH/JERU’s economic recovery and livelihoods activities are implemented to a high quality, in collaboration with three local partners.

  • Hold overall responsibility for the implementation of the project in coordination with local partners and according to the workplan and budget.
  • Hold overall responsibility for the coordination of the consortium providing regular updates to the Head of Programmes.
  • Hold overall responsibility for ensuring donor reporting deadlines are met, both narrative and financial.
  • Ensure all project data is uploaded on PROMIS and kept updated as needed.
  • Coordinate with deputy head of project to conduct coordination meetings with WHH/JERU implementing partners.
  • Coordinate with deputy head of project to ensure effective communication with implementing partners and support them to delivery timely project activities.
  • In collaboration with Livelihoods Coordinator continuously identify the economic recovery needs and opportunities in project areas. Propose and implement actions to cover these needs, as well as areas of integration with emergency programming.
  • Manage and recruit the project team including livelihoods officers, business counselors, trainers, and other service providers when required.
  • Carry out financial management of the project, producing financial forecasts and verifying budgets vs actual on regular basis.
  • Ensure that a project procurement plan is in place and is implemented in coordination with logistics department.
  • Collaborate with partnership team in the management of partnership agreements and capacity building areas for partners.
  • Gather output level data and work with MEAL team to analyze key information linked to project outputs and quality.
  • Contribute to positioning WHH as a key member in economic recovery and livelihoods action with participation coordination platforms as agreed with the Livelihoods Сoordinator.
  • Regularly meet with local stakeholders including economic development department, municipalities, business associations and others to ensure they are informed about WHH economic recovery activities.
  • Actively support Head of Programs and incountry Technical Advisors in the development of new proposals and the country strategy as required.
  • Collaborate with Technical Advisors to ensure best practices, lessons learned and challenges are documented and shared.
  • Ensure protection mainstreaming in the implementation of the of the project.

Specific Qualification

  • Previous experience of consortium management within NGO’s.
  • Previous experience of working in economic recovery and livelihoods programming.
  • Contextual knowledge and understanding of Ukraine response desirable.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Fluent level of verbal and written English
