About this position:

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to work closely with our business partners and information technology teams to document the end-to-end process of the Investment Funds product with the purpose of automating the monitoring of fund portfolios, performance and analytics of underlying assets.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience with the implementation of financial technology solutions. Using their expertise, problem-solving ability, and creative flair, the consultant will serve as the strategic and tactical interface for the purpose of aligning banking technologies with business requirements including and not limited to the following: strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management, process engineering, system integrations, and communication.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as liaison between business units and IT to document and translate business requirements and needs.
  • Produce business, functional, technical, and system design documentation.
  • Document business processes using BPMN standards.
  • Stablish partnerships with other stakeholders across the institution.
  • Evaluate real-time data to identify systems processes.
  • Provide support in the identification of issues, decision points, and risks arising from the evaluation of processes.
  • Manage multiple stakeholder engagements and work with relevant team members to learn project requirements, facilitate process analysis sessions, and develop potential technology solutions.
  • Analyze and consolidate information from the stakeholders to develop solutions to ensure business requirements are achieved.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify how business requirements can be delivered to ensure improved user experiences and reduced cost and time impacts.
  • Provide expert support to key stakeholders in managing system and process changes, train super users and prepare training materials.
  • Provide expert advice on application solutions and identify project issues and risks, and present alternatives for alleviating or resolving them.
  • Produce functional, technical and system design documentation.
  • Develop technical documentation to comply with the internal control processes.
  • Serve as liaison between end users and the technical support team.

What you’ll need

  • Education: bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Computer Sciences or related field, or equivalent. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in business process analysis and design.
  • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

  • Experience facilitating workshops and discussion sessions.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining system processes and procedures.
  • Experience in creating business cases for technology-related solutions.
  • Experience optimizing team performance through the advanced application of Agile and Design Thinking Methodologies.
  • Strong ability of building and maintaining relationships with customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Active listener with the ability to think strategically, solve problems and negotiate.
  • High level problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint process modeling tools

  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
