Result of Service
a. Deliverable 1 – Two (2) design concepts and floor plan layout including selected materials, finishes and furniture and an accompanying report based on needs assessment consultation, preliminary cost estimates for both options presented. b. Deliverable 2 – Final construction working drawings, furniture plans, floor plan, electro- mechanical plans, bill of quantities and a proposed work program for the proposed renovation works.

Duties and Responsibilities
The contractor will work under the direct supervision of the Head of Office when carrying out the following tasks: 1. A needs assessment  Conduct an in-depth consultation to understand the mission and work of the MCO and the scope of the renovation works required.  Meet with the Resident Coordinator and Head of Office to understand the MCO’s collective, team and individual requirements of its staff.  Meet with the UNDP as Common Premises managing agent to determine obligations of lease agreement and what costed items are the obligations of the landlord/lessor and or limitations thereof. 2. Design concept and tender documents including bills of quantities and engineers cost estimate  Complete a site visit and survey the office space.  Perform a structural review of the MCO office space to determine scope of renovation, mapping existing electrical, water and sewage systems.  Based on the MCO’s needs and existing features of the office space prepare two (2) design concepts and floor plan layout including selected materials, finishes, furniture, data, electro- mechanical and other services for consideration by the Resident Coordinator and the Head of Office.  Based on selected design concept by the MCO, prepare tender documents including detailed engineers cost estimates, bill of quantities and draft contract documents.
Qualifications/special skills
A first-level university degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Civil/Structural Engineering or related area is required 5 years A registered or license member of the professional association of architects or engineers is required.
