Position at Ashoka
About Ashoka
Ashoka is the world’s largest community of leading social entrepreneurs and pioneered the field of social entrepreneurship more than 40 years ago. We find, select, and support a robust network of more than 4,000 Ashoka Fellows in 90 countries who have successfully implemented systems-changing solutions to human and environmental problems globally. By learning from and collaborating with our Fellows and other social entrepreneurs, Ashoka identifies patterns and key levers to help society gain a new framework for living in the world as a changemaker. Ashoka’s work therefore started with the Fellows, building and spreading the construct of social entrepreneurship, which has led to our current work – the ‘Everyone a Changemaker’ (EACH) movement.
EACH stems from our belief that everyone is a “giver”, and that everyone must recognize both their potential and responsibility to make positive change in an everchanging world. Central to this movement is breaking down silos and replacing them with new networks (and new networks of networks) that together fundamentally change how people of all ages identify and act as changemakers.
The Opportunity
Ashoka seeks an individual with a track record of entrepreneurialism, innovation, and sector-wide impact to lead on our global search for priority senior staff talent. The Leadership Group Member (LGM) for Global Search will lead a small but international Search team in developing new approaches to better source, engage and champion the most aligned priority senior prospects for global and regional roles. They will leverage decades of Talent experience to build in-roads to even more of the world’s leading innovators and changemakers to strengthen our pipeline for priority senior hires. They will also lead on broader implementation of our OneSearch approach across Ashoka’s global teams, which honours prospective candidates as whole people and re-frames conversations to identify the most mutually beneficial opportunities for future employment or collaboration. The LGM for Global Search will be a key member of Ashoka’s global senior executive team, too, working closely with other leaders to integrate core strategy and performance measurement across the organization, and creating new systems that lead to growth and greater effectiveness.
This work will be guided by the shared belief that broader adoption of Ashoka’s EACH vision requires having the right co-leadership team in place in Ashoka’s global hubs including Bangalore, Jakarta, Lagos, London, Sao Paulo, and Washington, DC.
