What we are looking for

NRC is looking for a Shelter and WASH Project Manager to join the Myanmar mission. The role holder will be responsible for the for the shelter and emergency response services portfolio in the North-East.

The Shelter Project Manager will make significant contributions to NRC Myanmar’s ongoing role for shelter/emergency response; considering climate change; prioritising hard-to-reach populations; and contributing towards pathways to adapt the North-East shelter and emergency programming to the volatile context after the armed conflict escalated in October 2023.

  • Shelter and emergency strategy development and the development of shelter projects.
  • Shelter project implementation, including activities, budget, and documentation.
  • Technical direction and assurance of high quality of projects.
  • Project budget development and management.
  • Capacity building, transfer of skills, and training of project staff.

What you will bring

  • Senior-level project implementation experience position in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Shelter, WASH, Cash for Work, Multi-Purpose Cash, and/or Emergency responses expertise.
  • Strategic partnerships track record.
  • Project management experience, including management of people.
  • Complex, and volatile context exposure.
  • North-East Myanmar context exposure and knowledge.
  • English fluency, both written and verbal.

NRC seeks to address the varied and complex needs faced by internally displaced persons, returnees, and affected host populations through complementary programming involving direct implementation, strategic partnerships and consortia, advocacy, and referrals.
