The IMF is inviting applications from experienced macroeconomists currently residing in the MENA+ region to join the Mid-Career Pipeline – a pool of ready-to-hire candidates who are eligible for internal macroeconomist vacancies across the Fund.
We will conduct regional recruitment outreach to the MENA+ region in February 2025 aimed at engaging with, and interviewing, experienced economists from across the region. The recruitment outreach team will visit the following countries: Egypt, Qatar,and Saudi Arabia. Candidates residing in the MENA+ region will be interviewed at one of the hubs closest to them.

We also welcome applications from economists passionate about working on Low Income and fragile and conflict-affected states.

Selection Process:
An initial screening will be conducted based on your application form and supporting documentation. Screened candidates will be invited to participate in a short video interview through the HireVue platform which will be used to shortlist candidates for a preliminary interview. If successful, you will be invited for a panel interview in one of the countries being used as a regional hub. The IMF will cover the travel, hotel and per diem costs for all shortlisted candidates invited for an interview in the relevant hub.
