The outcome of this consultancy will be the successful completion of the work by ERDCN, delivering the interim and final reports on the state of the art of the complex interrelation among debt, climate and nature.
Work Location
The consultant will carry on the needed tasks in his / her own place of permanent residence and, if required, he / she will be required to assist to a meeting in the ECLAC venue.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director of the Technical Secretariat, the consultant will have the following functions: To support the Director of the Technical Secretariat in substantive matters. 1. Collaborate in the tasks of bibliographic review, data processing, writing of documents and preparation of presentations on all the topics of the ERDCN. 2. Collaborate in the review of the different drafts of the interim and final report and other documents that will be published within the framework of the ERDCN. 3. Collaborate with the Director of the Technical Secretariat to coordinate the research with the staff of the other member institutions of the TS. 4. Collaborate in the preparation of the presentation of the interim and final results of the ERDCN.
Qualifications/special skills
The consultant must be a professional in economics, finance or engineering and, preferably, with preference for PhD postgraduate studies in economics, or related field. the consultant must present evidence of at least fifteen (15) years of professional experience in research in the following topics: public finance, climate change, nature / biodiversity loss, sustainable development, and debt. The consultant must have specific knowledge in sustainability development; climate change, sustainable finance, fiscal and public policies, environment, and sustainable development.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the UN Secretariat. For this position fluent English is required. knowledge of any other UN official languages is an advantage.
