Currently, Viet Nam’s planning, strategic and regulatory frameworks lack full alignment with the objectives of transitioning towards sustainable energy and facilitating sufficient low-carbon investments. There is therefore a need to undertake a comprehensive review and analysis of existing national strategies, plans and policies, and propose amendments of and supplements to relevant policy documents to be conducive to the attainment of Viet Nam’s energy transition objectives. Subsequently, as Secretariat Support Agency for the JETP’s Working Groups, UNDP will collaborate closely with MPI to coordinate and provide technical assistance to MPI to “review and evaluate current legal provisions related to investment in energy transition and propose amendments and supplements”.
Therefore, the UNDP is seeking 03 (three) national experts to review of current investment policies and regulations framework in energy transition and propose action plans to amend and supplement the regulation and legal framework to foster investment in energy transition in Viet Nam. This Procurement Request is specifically to recruit the Team leader – National Specialist on Finance Policy and Regulation among these 03 experts.
