JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Overview:

The Case Management Assistant will support the Extended caseworkers in addressing barriers to self-sufficiency for vulnerable refugee and immigrant clients under the PRIME (Promoting Refugee Integration, Mobility and Empowerment) project. This role is designed to provide administrative and casework support in serving single-headed households, survivors of domestic and gender-based violence, older refugees, youth, and other at-risk populations. The Case Management Assistant will work closely with extended caseworker and clients to ensure that clients receive timely and effective services, promoting client autonomy and empowerment while adhering to the goals of self-sufficiency.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist Extended Caseworkers with managing caseloads, tracking client progress, and maintaining accurate client documentation in the Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database.
  • Provide logistical support by scheduling client appointments with healthcare providers, public benefits offices, and other service providers.
  • Support clients in navigating healthcare systems, housing services, and public benefits, ensuring they are aware of their rights and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Extended Caseworkers to develop individualized self-sufficiency plans tailored to each client’s needs and assist in following up on these plans.
  • Prepare and distribute materials such as self-sufficiency guides and orientation resources for clients, under the guidance of the Extended Caseworkers.
  • Respond to immediate client needs or crises and refer them to the Extended Caseworkers or supervisor as needed.
  • Conduct outreach to external service providers to gather information on resources that may benefit clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in relevant team meetings, trainings, and case conferences to stay informed about program updates and best practices.
  • Attending training required of PRIME staff and implement content in work with clients.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in social services, public health, or related fields preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in social services, refugee resettlement, or case management support roles.
  • Lived experience as a refugee or immigrant, or experience working with refugees and vulnerable populations, strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in a second language in particular immigrant and refugee languages are highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in diverse and multi-cultural environments.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to use digital tools for research and data entry.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
