To tally commodities and assist in receive, stacking, dispatch and physical inventory activities to maximise accuracy and efficiency of commodity management. Monitor the quality of food, warehouse standard, and capacity building of retail partners warehouse staffs.

Under the overall supervision of a Storekeeper, and/or his/her designated, the tally assistant will undertake the following duties.

  • Tally receipt/dispatch of commodities including transformation of commodities during internal milling operations, identify and report to the supervisor any anomalies, to support accurate and effective commodity management in the warehouse.
  • Support daily warehouse closing reconciliation and accurate inventory checks supporting internal control system in compliance with the warehouse management requirements.
  • Implement and maintain accurate stacking and assist in conducting periodic physical inventory checks following the established guidelines and standards, to support compliance with internal control procedures and systems.
  • Prepare accurate tally reports including efficient preparation and distribution of tally sheets to relevant parties, to ensure consistent and prompt accountability for commodity movement from/to and storage in the warehouse.
  • Supervise and monitor the warehouse cleaning after loading/unloading and reconstitution exercises, to ensure WFP and retail partner warehouse meets the established standards.
  • Assist Storekeeper/ Q&C /partner to check the quality aspects of the food during receipt and storage.
  • Coordinate with the transporter representative, CP representative, and other stakeholders during dispatch/loading of commodities in WFP warehouses and port.
  • Any other tasks as assigned.

Experience: Minimum two years of progressively responsible experience in the relevant field including at least one years in the field of warehousing/tallying.

Education: Completion of Higher Secondary school education.
Language: Fluency in both written and oral communication in Bangla and English.
