JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary: 

ICRISAT seeks application from professionals who can perform a specialist role of an Associate Manager – MIS and Assets Management to be hired in Financial Services. The position will report to the Senior Manager, Finance and will assist Senior Manager, Finance in preparation, analysis and reconciliation of financial statements, MIS, financial forecasts and Assets Management and has expertise in handling accounting functions. This position will be hired through a National Recruitment Process, on a contract basis for a period of three years. A new contract may be offered at the end of the present tenure based on the performance of the incumbent, funding availability, and the institute’s continuing need for the position.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible to:

  • Preparation and consolidation of periodic institutional and management reports, including review, analysis and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts.
  • Preparation, monitoring, review and reconciliation of Fixed Assets Register and other Assets      Management records.
  • Preparing budgets and financial forecasts
  • Assisting in physical stock verification
  • Assist in allocation of budget
  • Assist outreach locations with Audit requirements
  • Assist in preparing Inter-Office Accounts
  • Liaise and assist with Internal and External Audits
  • Has to coordinate with other units for inflow of information to finance and coordinate with all locations across Asia and Africa to gather information related to finance.
  • Liaise with outreach locations
  • Liaise with PSDS (Procurement Team ) for Assets Management-related activities
  • Oversee and provide accurate and timely Reports/data to the Senior Manager – Finance for decision-making purposes

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A master’s degree (preferred) in Business Administration, CA Inter
  • A Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in preparation, analysis and reconciliation of financial statements, MIS, financial forecasts and Assets Management and expertise in handling accounting functions.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop creative solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to produce accurate work.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder orientation, problem-solving and analytical skills utilized in effectively collaborating with team members at all levels throughout the organization
  • High-level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills in English
