JOB DESCRIPTION

Your Role

As a Human Resource Assistant, you will provide technical, coordination and operational support to various work assignments, projects and transactions required for more efficient and client-centered HR, health and benefits administration and services.

You will:

  • Assist the designated supervisor(s) in the design, distribution and analysis of employee satisfaction and engagement surveys and Wellness projects.
  • Provide comprehensive technical assistance in the implementation of new policies, processes, and systems.
  • Conduct data analysis and produce reports to support informed decision-making on Wellness programs, other projects and related services to assess the effectiveness and to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Facilitate the delivery knowledge tools and articles, including preparing presentation materials and drafting standard and non-standard correspondence and reports. Maintain the Health and Wellness site to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Manage the implementation of new systems or technologies. Identify opportunities for streamlining processes and recommend improvements or solutions to enhance effectiveness and the efficiency in the Health and Wellness service delivery.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external contacts to ensure organized collaboration and seamless execution of projects and special initiatives. Enhance communication and cooperation to guarantee the successful implementation of Health and Wellness programs.
  • Administer special projects ensuring these are completed on time and within budget. Support preparation of work program and budget proposals and monitor implementation/use.
  • Lead and manage day-to-day health and wellness transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.
  • Be a mentor to assist staff member in managing Wellness programs, which is necessary for promoting mental health and overall wellbeing in the workplace and supporting the development of colleagues from the same division and in other departments.
  • Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned and reflected in the workplan.

Qualifications

You will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration or related fields
  • At least 5 years relevant experience with comprehensive knowledge of HR operations covering policies and procedures relating to benefits administration and wellness programs.
  • Proficient in office technology applications, HR information systems, and personnel database systems necessary to the human resources unit’s core service.
  • Proven ability to work independently on assigned complex transactions and areas needing analysis and research which have well-defined scope and steps.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities and workload..
  • Effective and strong report-writing and communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with diverse internal and external contacts.
  • Passion for promoting health and wellness in the workplace.
