JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

RTI is seeking an Enabling Environment (IR1) Lead for the anticipated USAID-funded Morocco EcoRise Activity. They will oversee efforts to create a supportive policy environment for economic growth in Morocco. This role involves conducting policy analysis and guiding the development, advocacy, and adoption of sustainable policies and guidelines to improve conditions within Morocco to improve the environment for investment and growth for a sustainable economy. This role is expected to be based in Rabat, Morocco.

 

Position is contingent upon award and funding. Moroccan nationals highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for leading the development and advocacy of policies and guidelines aimed at improving economic conditions to ensure positive, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth.
  • Conduct in-depth policy analysis to inform both national and subnational economic development strategies, providing recommendations to enhance the enabling environment for economic grown in Morocco.
  • Promote the integration of marginalized and vulnerable populations into the economic growth of Morocco.
  • Collaborate with the private sector to support positive economic growth and strengthen the capacity of the Moroccan economy and its actors.
  • Provide technical capacity-building support to government counterparts and local leaders through technical assistance and training to ensure the successful adoption and implementation of positive economic policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, public policy, or other relevant field and 12 years of experience, master’s degree and 10 years of experience, PhD and 6 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in economic policy development, and/or related international programming.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence generation, community participation, accountability, and policy analysis and development.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with and understanding of the Moroccan national and sub-national governance and political systems and actors.
  • Professional fluency in French, English, and Arabic preferred.
