Duties and Responsibilities
Specific tasks to be performed by the consultant In coordination with the UNODC GPML team in Indonesia and the national counterparts, the expert consultant will undertake tasks associated with the development and delivery of the Advanced Crypto-Assets Investigative Workflows Course. These tasks will include the following: Adapt and deliver the training course: a. Review, adapt and update the content of the course preparing it for delivery b. Co-deliver the course along with the GPML Programme Expert c. Draft and submit the mission report
Qualifications/special skills
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in the fields of law, criminology, public administration, political science, international relations or criminal justice, crime prevention and/or law enforcement is required. A first level university degree or equivalent academic education, professional training with certification from a recognised international/national police or other staff training institution with specialisation in criminal justice crime prevention, criminal investigation, law enforcement and/or other related areas, in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree is desirable. – At least 7 years of professional experience in law enforcement, prosecution or judiciary, including experience in the anti-money laundering and / or countering the financing of terrorism, as well as the fight against organized crime, financial crime, combating the cross-border smuggling of cash, and bearer negotiable instruments and other related crimes is required -At least two (2) years of professional experience in conducting VA investigations and / or delivery of similar technical assistance at the national or international level is required. – Practical professional experience in developing and / or delivering of training courses on investigation of virtual assets for anti-money laundering and / or countering the financing of terrorism is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English, with excellent drafting and communication skills, is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language, is an advantage.
