Description of the Assignment:

The successful applicant will be expected to be responsible for the following:

Supports Effective Management of Decentralised Independent Evaluation Process

· Coordinate and finalisation of evaluation recommendation papers of 2 evaluations namely the UXO project and the IWRM project (Vertical Fund project);

· Prepare the TOR for the STEPS and NPFID project evaluation, based on the sample and guidance from the IEO Evaluation Guide;

· Support the Evaluation Manager (the Head of PSU) to coordinate the evaluation of the IWRM project ;

· Prepare the management responses for IWRM and UXO mid-term review;

· Support in the evaluation planning and implementation including oversight on proposals, and engagement with project colleagues on ensuring compliance with UNDP evaluation policy;

Undertake Quality Assurance, using IEO’s evaluation criteria, to assess the quality of the draft evaluation TORs;

 

Support the Programme Support Unit with events and workshops related to the Planning and Reporting Season:

· Support the logistical arrangement with the Programme Associate in organising training events with the IP/RPs and UNDP colleagues (mostly online);

· Support on coordination with heads of units to draft the presentation material for the CPD Review Meeting with development partners and DIC (1 event in February – March 2025, face to face)

· Ensure that the Programme Associate pays all of the invoices on time;

Monitor and Support Programme and Project Management Performance and Quality Assurance

· The tasks can include PQA, Project Risk, Transparency Dashboard, and KPIs;

· Monitor the performance of the CO including PQA, Transparency Dashboard, Project Risk (including SES) and Quarterly KPI;

· Organize working sessions and knowledge-sharing sessions to support programme units in PQA, project risk, data clean-up in Quantum, among other things, if necessary;

· Ensure 100% completion rate of the PQA in the CO;

· Ensure Project Risk Management compliance and quality in the CO;

· Support and coordinate relevant KPI reporting for the CO, including the Programme and Policy Results;

Integrated Work Planning (IWP)

· Provide support on the coordination of the Integrated Work Planning (IWP), Programme Risk, STARS requests, annual planning and CPD review meeting;

· Support the programme teams in monitoring the project pipelines in Unity Quantum+ dashboard and follow up with the teams on providing up-to-date data;

· Conduct desk review and coordination with project colleagues to collect data on the UNCT reporting requirement and populate the offline version of the UNInfo.

 

Period of assignment/services: 32 working days.
