JOB DESCRIPTION

CUBA seeks a highly qualified, motivated individual to serve as a Democracy, Governance, and Human Rights Advisor (Democracy Officer). The incumbent will enhance CUBA’s capacity to manage USAID’s Democracy and Governance programming, focusing on critical areas such as human rights, civil society, and independent media in Cuba. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in developing and overseeing activities designed to promote respect for human rights, support political prisoners and marginalized individuals, and raise global awareness of abuses. This position will also contribute to strategic communications and outreach to Congress and other stakeholders. The incumbent reports directly to the Deputy Director for CUBA.
