The Opportunity

The Business Development Manager (BDM) leads and is responsible for the Business Development Unit that includes Resource Mobilization, Grants Management, Donor Compliance management, Supports Cost Recovery, leads on Donor Engagement and grant negotiations and Institutional Partnerships on Programme Funding. The Business Development Manager acts as Plan interface with donors and key stakeholders to promote and fortify PIL resource mobilization and visibility.

heads the BD Unit and have the responsibility to proactively assess, map donor landscape and also identify and explore funding opportunities in line with Plan International Liberia CS priorities. The post holder leads on the development of Concept Note Bank, production of quality & successful grant proposals in coordination with Program technical colleagues, colleagues from Finance, Admin teams and the field. The post holder also supports grants implementation and works with the donor contract compliance staff to ensure PIL is accountable for resources at its disposal.

The post holder also supports the Program Implementing and Influencing Area teams to ensure effectively tracking on timely and effective utilization of the Plan’s resources for the benefit of targeted beneficiaries. The post holder is responsible for timely, quality financial and narrative grant reporting to donors.
