JOB DESCRIPTION

Objective of Assignment:

For this purpose, the Office intends to expand the roster of national experts, qualified in tackling THB-related issues and providing assistance to victims of human trafficking, with whom it plans to cooperate in the specified areas of work on CTHB. In this regard, any interested parties who meet the criteria of this announcement may apply for inclusion in the OSCE roster of experts on combating trafficking in human beings.
The above-mentioned complex and holistic approach to CTHB necessitates the involvement of expertise and the implementation of collaboration with specialists from various fields of activity related: to combating human trafficking, including conducting research and developing relevant normative/policy documents, raising awareness and building capacity of CTHB actors and of general public, or providing direct support to THB victims within the criminal proceedings as part of their access to justice system.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Advanced university degree in the field of legal, social and/or related sciences;
  • Minimum three (3) years of professional/working experience in the following and other associated fields:
    – counteracting THB (incl. technology-facilitated THB, child trafficking, financial investigations in CTHB, etc.) and gender-based violence;
    – human rights protection (incl. provision of compensation to victims), advocatory;
    – providing psychosocial and reintegration support to THB and DV victims;
    – conducting anti-trafficking awareness raising and communication activities;
    – conducting capacity building trainings/workshops on CTHB and related matters for anti-trafficking government stakeholders (incl. judges, prosecutors, border guards, migration and employment authorities etc.), NGOs service providers and businesses, including development of curricula and teaching materials;
    – conducting research and analysis on anti-trafficking or related issues
    – developing normative/legislative, research or analytical documents on anti-trafficking or associated issues;
  • Ability to work under stress and complete tasks under tight deadlines;
  • Good organizational and communication skills;
  • Good analytical and reporting skills;
  • Professional fluency in the Russian and Tajik language, both oral and written;
  • Experience in working with international organizations and fluency in English will be an advantage;
  • Computer literate with practical experience using Microsoft applications;
  • Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities;
  • Ability and willingness to work as a member of team, with people of different cultural, and religious backgrounds, different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity.
