Purpose
Under the guidance of the Manager of the Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Unit, you will support the
implementation of the UNFCCC Resource Mobilization and Partnership Strategy (2024-2028), through the
taks outlined below:
Tasks
• Support the resource mobilization and partnerships activities and outreach to variety stakeholders,
including Governments, philanthropies, foundations and the private sector;
• Coordinate, support and participate in related mission, roundtables and strategic dialogue with existing
and potential partners, including preparing strategic background material and funder intelligence;
• Maintain Donor Profiles and an internal voluntary contributions dashboard, making sure they contain the
most up-to-date data and information by undertaking extensive research;
• Develops and maintains dashboard and other AI-based and data-driven tools;
• Track voluntary contributions to the secretariat’s trust funds from all funding sources and assist
preparing briefing notes and funding overviews and pipelines for senior management
• Manages and updates internal partnership management tool of the RMP Unit;
• Coordinates inputs internally with divisions, specifically with finance and legal teams;
• Supports due diligence process through comprehensive risk analysis and reports;
• Act as the focal point for liaising administrative and logistical arrangements with other Divisions and
units for RMP Unit’s activities, including SB and COP sessions;
• Supports institutional knowledge management of the RMP Unit, including though developing and using
internal IT-based systems;
• Collaborate with internal and external clients and partners, including other UN entities;
• Provide support across ongoing, planned and new RMP activities/projects as may be required.

Timeframe
The assignment is for the period as soon as possible to 31 December 2025 for 130.5 working days with the
possibility to extend for an additional 65.25 working days contingent to satisfactory, high-quality delivery of
outputs within set timeframes.
The consultant should have the following qualifications:
Education: Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in marketing, social science,
communication, international relations, environmental studies, fundraising or business or public
administration or a related discipline. A first-level university degree, in combination with at least one year of
relevant qualifying experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience: At least two (2) years of relevant working experience in partnerships, climate change,
sustainable development, environment, or social sciences, with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented and excellent report-writing skills in English. Ability to build relationships with individuals with
diverse backgrounds and at different levels of seniority (internal to the organization and externally). Proven
track record of working in multicultural settings and teams with diverse backgrounds. Previous UN experience
is an asset.
Language requirements: Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in other UN
languages is an asset.
