United Nations Secretariat is hiring a Content Coordinator and Developer to

Result of Service
Gathering, organizing and processing of materials for the exhibition and campaign ‘Shared Lives, Shared Future’

Work Location
New York (in person in the office at least thrice a week)

Expected duration
Three to four months, depending on start date and project completion.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Content Coordinator and Developer will carry out research, interactions, and coordination for requesting and gathering assets for the development of a virtual and physical exhibition named ‘Shared Lives, Shared Future’. The incumbent will facilitate the collection, processing and transfer of assets, assist with complying with copyright requirements, and generate materials for online use. The contractor will need to be self-driven, and able to interact with interlocutors — in particular UNICs, UN entities, and Member States if needed. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to: – Carry out research into topics and story ideas suitable for the exhibition; – Develop a list of potential photo-stories and populate it with ideas, in close coordination with UNICs and UN entities; – Maintain a system for requesting and acquiring assets, and attending to copyright requirements; – Carry out image and digital asset research and development; – Interact with interlocutors about materials and their quality and standards, background information, etc; – Develop materials for online use; – Perform other relevant duties as required.

Qualifications/special skills
The incumbent must have completed a first university degree. At least one year of work experience in public information, communication, outreach, visual materials, or a related field is required. Possessing some or all of the following is desirable: * Experience in gathering and assessing visual communication materials, specifically photography, and familiarity with the standards for photographs that will need to be printed in large format * Experience working in or closely with the UN System or other organizations involved in development, international cooperation, etc Experience in autonomously interacting and coordinating with multiple interlocutors

Languages
Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required.

Additional Information
The contractor must have permission to be and work in the USA. While the recruitment process is ongoing, the hiring and signature of the contract are subject to the confirmation of funding.
