Description of the project the Intern will complete:

PATH is currently seeking a qualified Program Associate Intern for a Fondation Botnar – funded program, “Fit for the future: Trailblazing NCD Prevention Education with Youth-driven Technologies.” The project’s goal is to improve the health and well-being of Vietnamese youth while reducing major risk behaviors for NCDs.

The Program Associate Intern will work closely with the project team to support reviewing, developing and translating training, guidance and communication documents, report and tools, support in developing mobile\ web-based educational app. The Program Associate Intern will report to the Primary Health Care Deputy Director and work closely with PATH Vietnam program team.

Description of overall learning objectives and goals for the internship/benefit to the Intern:

To gain practical experiences in the international NGO environment in terms of project implementation & management, including regular duties, and responsibilities of program and/ or position; This includes learning and practicing development training curriculums, technical guidance, report, Information, Education and Communication/ Behavior Change Communication (IEC/ BCC) materials for NCDs prevention and control, developing functions and giving user experience for mobile\ web-based educational app.

Brief description of required skills/experience the intern should possess:

• Recently graduated or senior students at a university on public health, preventive medicine, biology or any related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated accuracy, responsibility, teamwork and collaboration, and work ethics
• Good creativity, adaptability, flexibility, problem-solving, professionalism.
• Proficiency in Vietnamese and English (both verbal and written).
• Strong MS Office, especially Word and PowerPoint, Canva or similar design/presentation tools
• Experience or the ability to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools is an advantage.
• Motivation and strong desire to learn and take on new challenges.

Skills to be developed and/or expanded during internship:

• Exposure to app development, especially for health education on NCD prevention
• Practical experience in developing training curriculums, technical guidance for adolescents, IEC/ BCC material as well as report.
• Improved project coordination and reporting capabilities
• Academic writing and reporting
• Skills of communication and coordination
• Team working skills.
• Other related skills of logistics arrangement, financial process, event organization and administration

Proposed activities:

• Participate through the development process of the mobile\ web-based educational app including stages of designing, reviewing the user interface, formatting the lessons, AI chatbot development, testing, feedback collection, and deploying.
• Support the creation and formatting of IEC/BCC materials for the education program on NCD prevention, such as training technical guidance, documents, user guide and communication materials for mobile\web-based educational app (posters, user guide video, booklet…) and other products.
• Assist with project activity implementation and reports.
• Participate in other projects and NCD-related tasks, logistics arrangement and activities that may arise during the course.

Candidates must currently have legal authorization to work in Vietnam.
