UNFPA, the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, works to achieve three transformative results:
• Ending unmet need for family planning,
• Ending preventable maternal deaths, and
• Ending gender-based violence and harmful practices.
In 2025, UNFPA Tunisia marks 51 years of partnership and programming in the country. Over the decades, the programme has evolved and expanded in scope and ambition, supporting national efforts to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), respond to gender-based violence (GBV), empower adolescents and youth, and strengthen the use of data and evidence for policy and planning.
As the office prepares for a new programme cycle, UNFPA Tunisia is committed to deepening its impact through inclusive, sustainable, and innovative approaches—working hand-in-hand with national and local stakeholders, civil society, youth networks, and development partners.
This volunteer assignment is supported by the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia as part of an initiative in partnership with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program to enhance youth inclusion, with a focus on the inclusion of young people with disabilities (2024-2026). Therefore, applications from young people with disabilities who meet the required qualifications are strongly encouraged.
As part of its strategic priorities, UNFPA Tunisia places a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making, evidence generation, and results-based programming. With the country office entering a new programmatic cycle, the ability to manage, analyze, and visualize data is essential for informing programs on sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence, youth, and demographic resilience.
To support this approach, the UNFPA Tunisia office seeks a motivated UN Youth Volunteer to contribute to the collection, analysis, and reporting of programmatic and national data, ensuring its effective use for internal learning and external communication.
• Data management, data analysis, and reporting, especially in supporting program-matic planning or monitoring.
• Ability to transform raw data into user-friendly formats (dashboards, visual summar-ies, reports) to guide program teams and decision-makers.
• Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Power BI, SPSS, KoboToolbox, or similar plat-forms for data analysis and visualization.
• Exposure to using evidence to support public health, gender, youth, or development programs is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of basic monitoring and evaluation (M&E) concepts and data quality as-surance processes is desirable.
• Strong interest in translating data into actionable insights to improve development out-comes.
