Professional competencies
These are skills, knowledge and experience that are important for effective performance.
Generic professional competencies:
- Experience from working as a Project database/IM Officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Good understand and spoken English – ability to present in English
- Familiarity with or interest in data analysis and visualization programs, (e.g. PowerBI, ArcMap, Stata, SPSS, Knowledge of R, Tableau, Adobe Illustrator and In-Design)
- Strong system and data audit capacity
- Mastery of IT tools (MS Office package, internet, e-mail, etc.)
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- At least three years of proven practical experience in data management in a humanitarian and/or development program.
- At least one year of experience in Shelter, WASH or other humanitarian programs
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University (Computer engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Information management or similar)
- Experience in working with Power BI, database software, Office pack.
- Ability to work independently in a result-oriented multi-tasking and multi-cultural environment and manage conflicting priorities
