In accordance with the Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent: 1. Assists Field Electromechanical Engineer with all UNRWA PV solar projects, includes designing, planning, monitoring and evaluating all UNRWA electrical installations; prepares detailed work plan. 2. Develops cost estimates of Photo Voltaic plants that include all aspects of the project cycle that Field”s Photovoltaic projects align with the Agency”s standards and instructions from ICID, HQ (Amman) and Design Unit , HQ (Gaza), which reflect relevant strategy and industry best practices in the electrical and solar domain. 3. Supports in the assessment of the site”s conditions, including residential or commercial solar power systems, to facilitate the work of the design team, including collecting structural, electrical, and related information. 4. Implements the design works of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems, which may include amendments in the design, BoQ, cost estimate, and ToR in coordination with the Desing team at HQs. 5. Provides advice on energy-saving techniques, such as water heater wraps, pipe insulation, weather-stripping, door sweeps, or low-flow showerheads, and monitor their installation, if accepted; answers questions on relevant topics such as the costs of appliances running and their energy-efficiency. 6. Creates electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, connection diagrams, or graphical representations for solar electric systems, using related software. 7. Conducts technical capacity evaluations of photovoltaic projects (on-grid, off-grid) and Wheeling projects — including those in Amman, Irbid, and the Jordan Valley — covering performance assessment and cost analysis of smart projects across Jordan. 8. Monitors and supervises the solar system projects, and ensures compliance with the project design, provides technical direction or support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring; checks and evaluates the performed works to release payments. 9. Interacts with electricity utility companies and regulatory authorities regarding solar PV projects, in coordination with the supervisor. 10. Perform other duties as required.
