UN Women Regional Office for Arab States works with UN member States, civil society and the UN development system to promote gender equality and women”s empowerment.
The reports, communication and visibility materials will be used to showcase UN Women Morocco”s work, contributing to raising awareness about gender-based violence.
We are seeking 1 online volunteer to support the UN Women Morocco Country Office by translating the different communication materials (from French to Arabic) created during the 16 days of activism campaign on violence against women and girls. These materials include but are not limited to concept notes, technical sheets, social media posts, social media visuals, online quizzes.
To this end, the Online Volunteer is asked:
– To translate communication tools from French to Arabic: Calendrier editorial nombre approximatif de 10 pages, booklet 6 pages, 4 communiqués de presse, quiz de 2 pages avec 6 questions et 3 options de réponses.
– Ensure the translation is contextualized to Moroccan Arabic (not dialect), fits the audience, and in line with UN Women communication guidelines.
The selected Online Volunteer will be provided with the documents in French and will receive guidance on the target audience and UN Women communication guidelines as well as other guidance as needed.
The Online Volunteer will have the opportunity to build connections with the UN Women Morocco Country Office teams and learn about the ways in which the translated materials contribute to advocacy and awareness-raising on gender-based violence.
– Candidates should be fluent in French and Arabic.
– Familiarity with technical terms related to gender equality and violence against women and girls will be considered an asset.
– Knowledge of Moroccan Arabic will be considered an asset.
– Previous translation experience is considered an asset.
