Background
The position is located in the Department of Safety and Security of Ukraine. This position is locally administered by UNDP and is financed by the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) from the Local Cost Share Security Budget (LCSSB). The contract may be extended subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and continuing need for the post.
Under the supervision of the Training Coordinator and overall guidance of the Deputy Chief Security Adviser (Deputy CSA), the Field Security Associate (Training) assists in the conduction of security training in Ukraine.
Duties and Responsibilities
Within limits of delegated authority and depending on location, Field Security Associate (FSA) – Training at this level may be responsible for the following duties: (These duties are generic and may not be performed by all Field Security Associates).
1. Provide Security Trainings Coordination and Delivery
2. Monitor Security Information and Coordination
3. Assist in Security Planning and Monitoring
4. Monitor the security compliance of UNDP premises and international staff residences
5 Provide General Administrative Support
The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.

Skills and Experience
Min. Education requirements: Secondary Education is required.
University degree (Bachelor’s degree) in in Political Science, Military Studies, Security Management, Management or a relevant field would be given due consideration but it is not a requirement.
Applicable security, police and/or military training is desirable.
Min. years of relevant work experience: Minimum six (6) years with secondary education or three (3) years with bachelor’s degree of working experience in the field of safety and security management or security training in the public or private security service areas is required.
Required skills: Solid computer skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc.) are required.
A valid driver’s license (category B, C1) within Ukraine is required.
Desired skills in addition to the competencies covered in the Competencies section: Prior experience on conduction of IFAK or ETB training.
Prior experience on support or conduction of other security training.
Prior experience with the UN system or an international NGO.
Prior UNDSS FSA certification.
Required Language(s): Fluency in English and Ukrainian are required.
Knowledge of Russian is desirable.
Professional Certificates: IFAK ToT 2.0 or ETB ToT valid certificate is required.
