Your Opportunity

Inner West Services supports adult men, women and young people who are at the risk of homelessness, focusing on sustaining tenancies and stabilizing housing.

As a Team Leader, you’ll play a vital role in supporting both clients and staff in the effective delivery of program activities that align with Mission Australia’s values and outcomes.

Reporting to the People Leader, you’ll guide a team of passionate professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients through high-quality case management, strong leadership, and continuous improvement in service delivery. This role offers the opportunity to lead with purpose, using your experience and interpersonal skills to foster a supportive and empowering environment for both clients and employees.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Lead, coach, and develop a dedicated team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and client-focused service delivery
• Work across various programs within the Inner West and Inner City
• Oversee day-to-day program operations, ensuring compliance with Mission Australia policies and procedures.
• Provide person-centred and strength-based case management support for clients with complex needs.
• Ensure the delivery of quality services through effective supervision, case review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to support positive outcomes for clients.
• Oversee administrative and compliance requirements, including client records, reports, and data accuracy.
• Contribute to service development and represent the program at relevant network and stakeholder meetings.

Requirements for Success

• A relevant Degree/Diploma in either Social Work, Community Services, Welfare or Psychology with experience, or equivalent combination of qualifications and substantial experience in a related field
• Demonstrated leadership or team supervision experience, including mentoring, coaching and performance management
• Proven experience in case management particularly with clients experiencing complex challenges
• Ability to plan, coordinate and oversee program activities effectively
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with experience maintaining compliance and reporting standards
• Strong relationship management and conflict resolution skills
• Sound understanding of relevant legislation, policy and service frameworks
• Drivers’ Licence
